MINOT, N.D. — Minot’s Ribfest is ready to rock the Fairgrounds, June 16, 17, & 18. Concerts, food, and fun, are planned for the summer festival hosted at the ND State Fairgrounds.
“We’ve been planning and preparing to host this exciting Minot event on the Fairgrounds and we’re ready for Ribfest,” said Renae Korslien, manager of the North Dakota State Fair.
Wristbands for the festival will be $5 per day and will include the entertainment in the evenings.
On Friday, June 16, the Ribfest gates will be open with free admission from 11am – 3pm and the ribbers will be offering free sides for the Friday lunch hours.
You will have the opportunity to listen, sing, or dance to music on Friday and Saturday night. The iHeart Music stage will feature Even 5 and Soul Shine on Friday night as well as Frankly Scarlett and SFO – A Journey Tribute out of Nashville, TN, on Saturday. A karaoke contest will be held on Saturday and CJ Andrist will also be entertaining Saturday afternoon.
The Pursuit Church of Minot will bring its Father’s Day Service with special music to Ribfest on Sunday at 11:15 am. There will be free admission during the church service.
Both Nodak Speedway and the Magic City International Drag Way are offering special discounts to Ribfest attendees. Wristbands purchased on Friday or Saturday can be used for half price admission to the Saturday Drag Race at the Magic City International Drag Way, and individuals who purchase a wristband on Sunday will receive $5 off their ticket to Nodak Races that evening.
In addition to great food and music, a corn-hole tournament, community art project, free throw contest, and more are being planned for this fun filled weekend. The festival will feature 15 bounce houses for $10 per day and the Nodak Knockouts have also planned a bout for 5pm on Saturday at Ribfest.
