NDSF Internship Opportunities

The North Dakota State Fair is looking to hire  two college students to become an intern at the North Dakota State Fair from May – August 2014!

Be part of the team that coordinates all marketing, special events, promotions, sponsorships, social media, advertising and public relations efforts for the state’s largest annual event, the North Dakota State Fair.

Social Media/Photography Intern:

Responsibilities

The position will include but not be limited to managing the State Fair’s overall social media campaign under 3778286597_15fdd779e6_b (2)the supervision of the Marketing Director, being the official event photographer during all 9 days of the Fair, providing graphic design support and various clerical duties.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate the self-motivated ability to create and carry-out a full social media campaign, be organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast pace environment on multiple tasks. Design software is experience and experience implementing a social media campaign with another organization or club is required. Campaign knowledge should include several of the following: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, Pinterest, Youtube and Tumblr. Candidates should be energetic, dedicated and self-motivated.

Ideal candidates will be working towards a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, Graphic Design or a related field.

Marketing/Special Events Intern:

Responsibilities

Cupcake InternThe position will include but not be limited to organizing and coordinating special events, preparing content for website and blogs, managing customer relations, editing, proofreading and various clerical dutes.

Qualifications 

Applicants must demonstrate excellent grammar and punctuation skills and be organized, detail oriented and have the ability to work in a fast pace environment on multiple tasks. Special event planning experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should be energetic, dedicated and self motivated.

Ideal candidates will be working towards a degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Event Planning or a related field.

Both positions are paid and full-time beginning mid-May working through early August. Standard office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with some nights and weekends in addition to extended hours July 15-28, including nights and weekends. Valid Drivers License is required
