Fairgoers could shop over 650 vendor booths for just about everything at the North Dakota State Fair. The indoor buildings were stocked with clothing, cleaning products, home décor, cookware and much more. Outdoors, shoppers could find anything from sunglasses, hats and apparel, to trailers, playground equipment and even modular homes. Fairgoers with an eye for machinery were not disappointed either. Machinery Row was back with the latest in agricultural products.
A hard decision that Fairgoers faced was which of the over 100 different Fair Foods they wished to sample. These foods included 10 unique concoctions that had never been served at the North Dakota State Fair. These foods were part of the second annual Food Frenzy competition, and were judged at the beginning of the Fair. After all had been tasted by our judges the Caramel Turtle Funnel Cake from Thomsen’s Rootbeer came out on top. The Chicken Fried Steak from M&S concessions came in a close second followed by Bacon Glazed Cinnamon Rolls entered by Good Food Concessions.
Another award vendors were vying for included the Vendor Booth Awards. Each year the Fair Board secretly visits each booth and rates them based on product, appearance, and friendliness of employees
