Register today for the NDSF Horse & Pony Pull sponsored by IRET. The Pony Pull is up first and will be held on Saturday, July 20th at 3:00 pm in Arena II. Then prepare for the Horse Pull, which is on Sunday, July 21st at 5:00 pm in the All Seasons Arena. A combined weight of two horses/ponies will determine which category each team will compete in (light weight or heavy weight). A pony weigh-in will take place Saturday morning from 10 to 11am in the Draft Horse Barn. Horses will be weighed on Sunday from 10:00 am to 11 a.m.
In these competitions, a driver has three minutes from the time he enters the pulling lane to hook up 
and complete a pull. Three attempts to pull the required distance are allowed. A full pull distance for ponies is 10 feet, and 20 feet for horses. Ponies will be judged by a percentage pull, while horse teams may choose a percentage pull or a dead weight pull. Register for this exciting event and challenge your friends to see whose horses/ponies can pull the most weight. Make sure you register your horses and/or ponies by July 1st, 2013. Cash prizes and plaques will be awarded to the top 9 teams.
