Fairgoers snapped hundreds of photos of the Great. Big. Fun. during the 2012 North Dakota State Fair. We then invited them to post those pictures on Flickr, a photo sharing site to participate in the first ever Flicker Photo Contest. We had 5 categories- Fair Food, Carnival, Horses and Rodeo, Livestock and Special Events. We received many of entries in all the categories and the results are in!
The winner of the Fair Food Category was “Refreshing” by slowe20091.
In the Carnival category, the winning photo was a the “Midway at Night” by tattewonu.
In the Horse and Rodeo Category, a “Ranch Rodeo” photo by KatherineofVerona was our winner.
Taking the prize in the special events category was “Shanley doing what she does best” by christyandbcm.
The livestock category winner was “Baby Chick” by slowe20091.
Now it’s time for the fans to step in! Logon to www.facebook.com/ndstatefair and choose your favorite “Best of Show”! The photo that gets the most “likes” by next Wednesday at 4pm will be declared the Grand Champion and will receive the $500 cash prize.
