Non-Stop Action at the ND State Fair Center

Facility rentals are keeping the North Dakota State Fair Center busy with action this spring. From big events like the KX Sport Show and The Minot Area Builders Home Show to smaller events like wedding receptions and meetings, the State Fair Center is buzzing with activity.

One highly anticipated improvement to the State Fair Center is the new refrigerant ice rink floor in the All Seasons Arena. Work has been ahead of schedule throughout the process due to the mild winter. The arena floor is expected to be completed in April. “That’s a lot earlier than anybody anticipated,” Craig Rudland, assistant general manager of the North Dakota State Fair Center said. “I think the work is moving along at an excellent pace.”

The rental options at the State Fairgrounds are being utilized at an all time high. Event space is being rented out for a vast variety of events with little turn over time.

“The State Fair Center is busier than ever,” stated Josh Mosser, Contract and Event Coordinator for the North Dakota State Fair. “We have new contacts calling or stopping in each day hoping to book a new event.” The Center has seen everything from wedding receptions, to an RV show, a Christian Music Concert, corporate events and even a Bull-A-Rama, all this month.Other events area residents can look forward to include the Big One Craft Show, the Shrine Circus and the Tech 9 Hip Hop Concert.With such a diverse range of events there is something going on at the State Fair Center to fit everyone’s interests!
