The Twenty-Third Annual Great Tomato Festival is once again preparing it’s feast at the North Dakota State Fair Center.
The event will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, with the social beginning at 6pm with dinner being served at 7pm. The menu will consist of Haider’s salsa and chips, assorted hors d’oeuvres, smoked pork chops, roasted tomatoes stuffed with rice, tomato and cucumber salad, beer batter bread, and chocolate cake. Gates will open for browsing of the silent auction at 5:30 pm. The silent auction will continue throughout the evening and will feature dinner for 6 with Theodore Roosevelt (Clay Jenkinson), vacation getaways, a Medora vacation pacakage, artistic creations by area artists, an Italian dinner for ten in your home and much more!
Live Music will be presented by Dakota Dixie. All proceeds will benefit the Minot Public Library, the Taube Museum of Art and the Lewis & Clark Ft. Mandan Foundation. Tickets can be purchased by the Minot Public Library, the Taube Museum of Art, Minot Area Council of the Arts, The Computer Store, Artmain, and on MAFB: Tires Plus.
