The 2011 North Dakota State Fair Run the Route will take place again this year on Saturday, July 23, 2011. 
Race Day registration will begin 7:30-8:30am at the Our Redeemer’s parking lot (across from South Hill Softball Complex). The 1 mile will begin at 9:00 am at the M&H Gas Station on 25 Burdick Expressway West. The 5K will start at the State Fair’s Gate E. All participants will be responsible for their own transportation to starting lines and from finish.
Runners may pick up their race packets between 8 am-7pm on Friday, July 22, at Mile One Running Shop. Runners may also pick up their race packets on race day between 7:30am and 8:30am on-site registration located at Our Redeemers. T-shirts will only be given to the first 400 participants to register so make sure sure to pre-register! The entry fee is $12 in advance and $15 after July 10, 2011, children 12 and under will be free. Fees include a Run the Route t-shirt to the first 400 registrants and free fair gate admission for the day for all registrants. First, second and third place ribbons will be awarded in each of the 7 age divisions. Male and female overall champions, second, and third place finishers in both races will receive State Fair Concert Tickets. The 1 mile awards are combined for runners and walkers.
As an added incentive, all 5K and 10K age division winners at the Prairie Rose State Games held July 8-10, 2011 in Bismarck will receive FREE ENTRY in the State Fair Run the Route. For more information on the Prairie Rose State Games call 701-222-Game.
