Tracy Lawrence, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Charlie Daniels Band and Toby Keith will all perform at the 2011 North Dakota State Fair. Tickets for the Grandstand Country Showpass go on-sale Wednesday, March 16 at 8am. The on sale date for Kid Rock tickets will be announced soon.
The American classic rocker, Kid Rock, will be the first rock act to perform during the 2011 State Fair on Saturday, July 23. Hits like “Cowboy”, “Only God Knows Why”, and “All Summer Long” have led this performer to five Grammy Nominations. A second rock concert is scheduled for Saturday, July 30 with the artist yet to be announced.
The first country concert of the Fair will be Tracy Lawrence. Lawrence has had 17 No. 1 country singles including his signature song, “Sticks and Stones,” the all-time fan favorites “Time Marches On,” “If The Good Die Young” and “Alibis,” and his most recent, “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.” Country trio, Lady Antebellum, will perform their top-charting singles, “I Run to You”, “Need You Now”, and “American Honey” on Sunday, July 24. This group scored two key wins at the 2010 CMA Awards – Single of the Year (“I Run to You”) and Vocal Group of the Year. They also received a Grammy for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Need You Now.”
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, known for songs like “Cadillac Ranch” and “Fishing in the Dark” will call the State Fair home on Wednesday, July 27. The Charlie Daniels Band will be performing on Thursday, July 28. Charlie Daniels’ music is quintessentially Southern with songs like “Uneasy Rider,” “Long Haired Country Boy,” “The South’s Gonna Do It” and of course, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Past chart topping songs for Toby Keith including “I Love this Bar”, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “Whiskey Girl”, and “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” will be paired with songs from his newest Album like “Bullets in the Gun” on Friday, July 29.

The on sale date for Kid Rock tickets as well as tickets for the second rock concert on Saturday, July 30, will be announced soon.
All other tickets will go on sale Wednesday, March 16 at 8am. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 701-852-3247 or in person at the State Fair Center. New for 2011, tickets will also be sold at the State Fair ticket kiosk in the Herberger’s Court at the Dakota Square Mall. A ticket presale for State Fair Foundation members will occur on March 14 and March 15. Call the State Fair office for more information.
