The Minot CVB is hosting the first ever “Minot Tourism Awards.” You will be able to vote for the four following categories, “Favorite Restaurant”, “Favorite Accommodation”, “Favorite Attraction”, and “Favorite Event”.
Everyone who votes will be put into a drawing for some free Minot Attire provided by the CVB. The Awards will be presented at Tourism Day on May 7th from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Scandinavian Heritage Park! This event is providing the CVB with an opportunity to say thank you to their visitors as well as the local community. There will be Live Entertainment by the “Tin Star” band and there will also be free food and activities for the kids.

The “North Dakota State Fair” is in the top four calender events of the year. Proceeded in importance only by: The Fourth of July,the date our nation declared it’s INDEPENDENCE, our nation’s birthday! ”MEMORIAL DAY”, the day we remember loved ones who have passed, particularly those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives ,to protect the freedom and values as set done in our U.S. CONSTITUTION! The third important date is “VETERANS DAY” which falls on the 11th month of the 11th day of the 11th hour. This date is significant as it is the time of a ceasefire of the “GREAT WAR” to end all wars { WW I}. We honor all veterans & active duty personnel who have and are presently defending this “LAND of the FREE” and the “HOME of the BRAVE”. These above mentioned dates allow us to celebrate the BEST STATE FAIR in the NATION i.e. “NORTH DAKOTA STATE FAIR”
