In North Dakota, we tend to measure summer’s length in Holidays and significant events:
“Well there is only a week until schools out.”
“3 Weeks until the Fourth of July!”
“Only 2 more weeks until the State Fair!”
We think that the weeks between the Fourth of July and the start of the State Fair are the longest week of summer so we came up with 7 ways to help get you through it!
1.) Get Your Concert Tickets – Hopefully you have already done this by now, but for those of us who like to wait until the last minute – NOW IS THE TIME! We want you to get the chance to have Fergie pass her microphone to you so you can sing along to Fergalicious LIVE. Or maybe catch a guitar pick or two with Jason Aldean!
2.) Explore our Food Finder – There is so much food that can be found here at the Fair, that you can’t possibly try it all in simply 9 days! From corn dogs to caramel corn, you will find it all here! So, we made a handy guide called the “Food Finder” to help you make a plan of attack!
3.) Discover all the different vendors – There is over 650 different types of vendors that can be found at the Fair! From hot tubs to hand made quilts, you can find everything in our three commercial buildings. In fact, many venders are offer Fair-tastic specials, such as buy-one get-one on July 25th!
4.) Preview the Free Stage Entertainment – There is so much fantastic free stuff included with your gate admission. You can meet dinosaurs, watch some racing pigs, or even sing some karaoke. There is something for everyone at the North Dakota State Fair and you can explore all of our free entertainment here!
5.) Get your Animals ready for the stage – 4H and FFA have always been the heart and soul of the Fair. Be sure that your critters are spick and span before you bring them to the grandest stage of the summer! If you are not competing or bringing an animal to the Fair, be sure to check out the livestock barns – there is so much to see!
6.) Get ready to win – Carnival games not your cup of tea? Thats okay – we want everyone to walk away a winner at the Fair! There are so many other events and contest that you can participate in. 7.) Make a plan – There is so much to do during the North Dakota State Fair! From our fantastic fair food to our world-class concerts, we want you to make the most of your time with us!
