You may have heard the name Ron Evitt from his popular radio broadcasts. In 1997, Ron started on the radio with the 90 second ads on three radio stations around Williston. He became known as ‘A Preacher in the Patch (Oil Patch, that is!). Ron was raised being familiar with the oil field, graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1985 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering, and has worked in the oilfield ever since. Thus, he decided to put the oil field theme in the broadcasts.
Ron and his family began singing together as a family band in the mid-nineties. The family sang in nursing homes at first, then churches, fellowship gatherings, parks, across a highway from a bar, and crusades, etc. Now his performances have blossomed into four-day-long outreach events including multiple music groups of different sizes and styles joining him and his family in inviting the world to accept Jesus Christ into their lives.
