The North Dakota State Fair is partnering with Experience North Dakota to host the Essay Writing and Coloring Contests as well as writing Military Appreciation Letters.
This year’s Essay Contest is open to 4th and 5th graders, and the theme is “What I Love Most About North Dakota”. Tell us in 150 words or less what your favorite thing about living in North Dakota is! The winners will be reading their essays at Senior Day. You can find more information about the Essay Contest here. *
For the Coloring Contest all Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders are invited to color a fair-themed coloring sheet! The pages should be mailed or dropped off at the State Fair office by July 1st. All entrants who attend the fair will receive a participation ribbon, which can be picked up in the Kids Clubhouse, during the Fair. Print your coloring sheet here. *
Military Appreciation thank you’s were sent out to North Dakota schools and students of all ages were invited to thank those bravely serving in our military by writing them a short note. These notes will be displayed on Military Appreciation Day (Tuesday, July 21) under the festival tent, north of Commercial III. To find out more details about Military Appreciation Day, click here.
* Please note that all of this information was sent out to applicable students during the school year. If you did not receive the information, please check the links listed above for information regarding the contests.
