Its time to lace up those running shoes and get training! The 2014 Run the Route 5K and Fun Run will be ushering in the ND State Parade on Saturday, July 19. This fun race, sponsored by Mile One Running Store, The Magic City Striders, and Minot Daily News, is open to all ages, so grab a group of friends or run as a family. The winners of the race will receive State Fair tickets, State Fair ribbons and pride!
The 5K race begins at Our Redeemers Church at 9am and follows the parade route into the Fairgrounds. For runners looking for a little less of a jaunt, a 1 mile fun run or walk is available. That race begins at the corner of Burdick and Valley Street at 8:45am and runs down Burdick to the Fairgrounds.
The 2014 registration forms are available online. Registration is just $12 if you register before July 5 and $15 after that. Register soon because the first 400 runners receive a free t-shirt! All runners will receive free gate admission to the Fair that day.
