They say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure and the North Dakota State Fair is proving that with the brand new Upcycling Contest. Upcycling is the process of converting old or discarded materials into something useful and more appealing. This crafting movement has been sweeping the nation and it is making a stop at the North Dakota State Fair.
The Fair staff is excited to bring in this contest because it promotes recycling and rethinking what we toss out, resulting in creative and unique entries. Examples of projects include turning old suitcases into footstools, old TVs into dog houses and entertainment centers into kid’s kitchen sets. When it comes to Upcycling, the sky is the limit!
