The North Dakota State Fairgrounds will host Motor Magic, Labor Day weekend, August 30-September 1, 2013 in Minot. The largest motorsports event in the Upper Midwest, Motor Magic provides entertainment for auto enthusiasts of all ages.
Drag racing on the Magic City International Dragway at 5:00pm will kick off the motor mayhem on Friday, August 30 and will also have races starting at 10:30am on August 31 and September 1. An Enduro Race, provided by Nodak Speedway, will take place Friday evening at 7:30pm in front of the North Dakota State Fair Grandstand. Other weekend races include two nights of Nodak Speedway Racing on Saturday and Sunday, August 31 and September 1.
Motor enthusiasts can visit the Historic Military Vehicle Display, Kids Zone and the Dakota Cruisers Classic Car Show. An automotive dyno machine provided by Robbi’s Dyno of Wilton will be available in front of the State Fair Center for racers to test their horse power.
Attendees can even bid on one of more than 100 Classic Cars at the Motor Magic Classic Car Auction, which takes place Sunday, September 1. In addition to this, the 4th Annual Pedal Car Auction will be taking place. The pedal cars have been customized by area businesses and will be on display at the Classic Car Auction where they will be auctioned off at 12:01pm on Sunday Sept 1, the classic cars will be auctioned following this. All proceeds from the pedal car auction will be donated directly to the Souris Valley United Way to be included in their 2013 campaign.
