Lights! Camera! Action!

Move over Steven Spielberg, the 4-H students of North Dakota are getting into the movie business!  It’s time again to start making your films for the annual 4-H film festival! Express yourself in a one to ten minute movie for your chance to win the People’s Choice Award or Best in Show!

Then join us on Sunday, July 21 at 2pm  as we roll out the red carpet for the 4-H Film Festival! This fun event will take place in the Norsk Room of the North Dakota State Fair Center. The public is welcome to come out, grab some popcorn and show support for the hardworking 4-H kids!

4-H Film Festival

There are five categories involved in this competition.

They include:

Narrative –  A film that tells a story.

Animated – A film that uses pictures to tell the story. These can be drawings, cartoons or even photographs.

Documentary – An education film that takes a deep look at a specific aspect of life.

Promote 4-H –  A film promoting your 4-H Club or just 4-H in general!

Voices of 4-H History – A historical perspective on 4-H.

Individuals are welcome to enter, as well as groups including up to four students. This festival is open to students grades 4 through 12 and at least one member of the team has to be a member of   4-H club.
