Yee-haw! It’s that time of year again for the Minot Y’s Men’s Rodeo, October 4-7 and the North Dakota State Fair Center’s All Seasons Arena will be shaking with excitement. The Minot Y’s Men are excited to be welcoming the famous “All American Cowboy” Bob Tallman as the announcer to this year’s rodeo. The rodeo will be taking place at 6:30pm Thursday – Saturday and at 1:15pm on Sunday.
Tickets are currently on sale and can be accessed online at www.minotysmensrodeo.com or by calling 1-701-852-5577. Beginning September 24th, tickets will also be available in the Herberger’s Court of the Dakota Square Mall across from RCC. Cost will be $25 in the Gold Section, or $20 in the Silver Section. Children’s tickets are $10 for ages 12 and under and only available in the silver section.
Don’t forget to register your young buckaroo for Mutton Busting. Registration is currently available at WGO & the Zoo and will close on September 22.
During intermission take a gander through the Badlands Cowboy Christmas Expo and Trade Show. Find an assortment of Western related items including fine art, furniture, apparel, tack and jewelry.
And it doesn’t stop there! As if four action-packed rodeos weren’t enough, the Badlands Circuit Finals Ranch Rodeo will also be taking place on Saturday, October 6th at 1pm. Events include the Trailer Relay Race, Trailer Loading, Steer Branding, Steer Mugging, and Wild Cow Milking. Admission is $5 and can also be purchased at www.minotysmensrodeo.com, by calling 1-701-852-5577 or at the door.
Before taking in the ranch rodeo, be sure to belly-up to the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, October 8 starting at 7am and held in 4-H Hall. Ticket prices are $5 in advance and $6 at the door. They can be purchased from any Kiwanis member and also at United Community Bank, First Western Bank, Knowles Jewelry, Ryan Chevrolet, GMC, Honda, and the Minot Chamber of Commerce. The “All-You-Can-Eat” menu includes pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and milk.
The fun continues on Saturday evening with the popular country band, Little Texas, taking the stage in Arena 2 following the rodeo. Tickets are $18 and are available at www.ndticketstop.com, Spicy Pie, and at the rodeo ticket booth in the Herberger’s Court of Dakota Square Mall. Doors will open for the concert at 8:30pm with an opening act beginning at 9pm, and Little Texas taking the stage at 10:30pm.
With all this excitement, there couldn’t be a better reason to dust off your hat and shine up your buckle for the Minot Y’s Men’s Rodeo Weekend at the All Seasons Arena.
