Win Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Tix!

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band returns to the North Dakota State Fair in 2012! This quartet, known for hits like “Cadillac Ranch and “Fishin’ in the Dark,” played the Fair five times between 1987 and 1995 as the star attraction at the “party in the dirt,” a lively concert in the All Seasons Arena. Their next scheduled date, in 2011, was washed out by the Souris River flood.

So the band, Jeff Hanna, Jimmie Fadden, Bob Carpenter and John McEuen, will bring back their party pants to the Fair Grandstand this year, Wednesday, July 25 at 8 p.m.  The concert is part of the Grandstand Showpass, which includes 7 nights of entertainment and can be purchased for $85 reserved seating or $75 standing room. One of the bands’ many classics “Fishing in the Dark” is a popular song among all ages. In honor of this tune we are going to give you a chance to win a pair of tix to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band for free!
