just doubble checking if there is a mis print for electric hookups says 100 feet of 30 amp cord ? that reaches over 7 parking stalls? i’ll bet a cord like that is $250.00 ? if you can not run your air conditioner, it is no use to have the stall? my cord is about 15 or 20 feet?
    double checking?
    thanks
    duane

This length of cord is not a misprint. Electrical units are not all located directly next to each stall. Some do need to cross approximately 6 units.

    Hi Brad,
Because of the increase in the need for lodging we added 200 spots in the lot across the road and they have all been reserved already.

Are all of the $20 spots also gone already for the fair. We were looking for something on the 21st and 22nd?

  11. Lorri 1 May 2012 at 7:14 pm #

Our campervan is 22ft. long. We have limited phone availability at work. If there is anything left could you save it and I will call in ASAP with necessary info at break time on May 2nd.

Please call 838-1193 and leave a message. The individuals running the campsites will be in the office late afternoon and will be taking reservations in the order they are received on the machine. You will receive a call back either confirming your spot or letting you know that your days are filled.

Can I please get an explanation here… I booked a camping spot Tuesday morning. I received a conformation email with a conformation number and had my credit card billed. On Saturday afternoon I then received a phone call telling me that my spot was being canceled because there was no room. Someone please explain this one to me since no one is answering the phone.

    Hi Justin,
    We apologize for the inconvenience.

Our camping office is only part time until closer to the Fair so they were not able to process orders until Saturday, when you received the call. They processed the orders based on the time they came in through online or on the message machine. We had less than 20 spots available so they went very quickly.

Your refund will be processed by the end of the week.

  15. Justin 9 May 2012 at 1:48 pm #

I can understand why I wouldn’t have been called until Saturday, that makes sense. What I am still confused about is why was I given a conformation number?

  16. North Dakota State Fair 9 May 2012 at 5:35 pm #

We apologize for the inconvenience Justin. The online form was not supposed to be available May 1 for that very reason. When online orders are made the payment automatically goes through and the confirmation # is sent before anybody on our end approves it. There was a fluke however and the form was still available to some. When that happened, the only fair way was to view the times of the messages left at the office and the times of the online request and place in the order the requests came in. Therefore, some of the online orders needed to be refunded.

Is the free camping area still in the same place as it has been for the past couple of years (east of the fairgrounds, on the north side of the rv parking by the trees)? And is it first come, first serve? If so, when does it open up?

  18. North Dakota State Fair 11 July 2012 at 1:19 pm #

    Hi Craig,
There is free camping available this year but it is in a different spot from last year. It’s directly north of the State Fair Center across the railroad tracks and west of 27th St. along Railway Ave. The spot opens up July 19!
