Back in November of 2009, a couple of us decided that it is time to create a Foundation that will support the programming and infrastructure of the North Dakota State Fair. The North Dakota State Fair Foundation has now been created!
With the help of the NDSF Board, management, and several folks from around the state, we have successfully created the Foundation that will soon allow the “alumni” of the State Fair to be able to contribute to various programs that will help keep the State Fair what it is today and to help position it to grow into the future.
The mission of the Foundation is simple: “The mission of North Dakota State Fair Foundation is to develop lifelong relationships with donors to secure philanthropic gifts that will enhance and support the work of the North Dakota State Fair.”
The Foundation has six Board Members that consist of me, Jerry Iverson, Kandi Mikkelson, Joanne Beckman, Connie Hanson, and Jane Bartholomay. The group is diverse and has a lot of “can do” attitude on helping the Foundation grow and become reality!
